TAW - Organizing Gifts

Next week our school will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week.  Some room parents choose to do one large gift and some choose to send little gifts in throughout the week.  Below I have listed 2 letters that you can use to organize either a group gift or a theme week (with little gifts sent in).  Either way PLEASE remember that parents are extremely busy this time of year and they are getting inundated with information.  Sending just one letter or e-mail out and leaving it at that will most likely go unnoticed.  I suggest you send an e-mail, send a hard copy letter with an envelope attached if you are collecting money), and then a reminder e-mail or hard copy!  It sounds redundant but I promise it is not.  Parents appreciate the reminders.  Often it is not that they do not want to send something in...they just honestly overlook or forget.  I have always followed the above plan and I have ALWAYS had extremely generous amounts donated,

Teacher Appreciation Week!

Hi everyone!  Teacher Appreciation Week is NEXT week.  I will be organizing a group gift from the parents for Teacher Appreciation Week.  I will be purchasing a gift card to one of her favorite places listed below.  If you would like to contribute to this gift just send your contribution in an enclosed sealed envelope with my name on it to class (please remember to tell you child to give it to the teacher and include your name so I can keep up with whose donated).  Any contribution is appreciated.  If you have some time or would like to purchase your own gift that’s great too!

Theme Week Option

Teacher Appreciation Week!

Hi everyone!  Teacher Appreciation Week is NEXT week.  We are organizing a theme week.  We are asking that every family send in an item related to themes below on at least one or more days if possible.  Any contribution is appreciated.

Monday - Send in a gift of something sweet! (candy, favorite soda or snack)
Tuesday - Send in a gift for hands & feet! (slipper socks, manicure set, hand creme or hand sanitizer)
Wednesday - Bear gifts of fruit, flower or berry! (teacher's favorite flowers, favorite fruit, chocolate covered strawberries, or anything that is floral or fruit scented like candles, soap, etc)
Thursday - Send in a gift of stationary! (magazines, journals, books, notes, cards, cute paper clips, pens or pencils)
Friday - We know that teaching's very hard so send in money or one small gift card! (this can be a small gift card to places like Chick-Fil-A, Sonic, Starbucks, Brusters, Scoops, McDonalds, etc)
